A Child’s Day at Disney in Orlando for under $10.

While vacationing in Orlando, you will have numerous theme park opportunities, Sea World, Universal Studios, and of course Disney World. But did you know that you can spend a day at Downtown Disney Orlando and spend less than $10 per child. How is it done? Here is the breakdown to a ten dollar Downtown Disney day per child. First parking at Downtown Disney is free. Second, take your young children to the various free activities: Lego Land, where they can play with Lego’s, gaze at the large LEGO creations, and play at the playground which is right next LEGO Land, cost is Free. Next, there are various Disney Characters (Statues) in which you can take photos with, and once again for free. And during your walk around the area looking for the Disney Characters, make sure to go to the Princess Beauty Salon at the rear portion of the Disney store and ask for some pixie dust, which they will sprinkle in your child’ hair which is also for free. We also make sure to bring their bathing suits so can play in the large water fountain. So far the total expenses are $0. So, you are probably wondering what the ten dollars is for. Well, it costs $2 to ride the train, and $2 to ride the carousal, and couple of dollars for an ice cream Sunday at the Downtown Disney McDonalds, with a little left over for a drink is you so desire. But in reality, you can take a break during the middle of your vacation and spend nothing at all and still have fun at Downtown Disney. We usually bring our lunch and drinks and do the entire day for less than $5 per kid.

Gulf shores vacation rentals by owner are on the rise. With the large inventory of condos on the market in Gulf Shores, Alabama comes an influx of vacation rentals by owner. Owners are supporting large mortgages on condos and vacation homes in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, so they need to get the max amount of rent while remaining competitive with their rents. So what gives? The owners can maximize rents by by-passing rental management agencies which charge upwards of 27% and rent their vacation rentals themselves. They can reduce the advertised rents by 10%, and still come out way ahead. Not to mention that the 10% rent reduction will increase the amount of bookings they receive. The bottom line is they need revenue to support those high notes, so expect to see more by owner rentals in Gulf Shores.

Gulf Shores during September.

Gulf Shores is the perfect place to visit in September. The summer crowds are gone but the temperature and beautiful beaches remain. Restaurants aren't quite as busy and Gulf Shores has some great restaurants. The sunsets are just gorgous and the vacation rental rates are low. September is the best time to be in Gulf Shores.

While many are fighting the large tax increases, are they still willing to keep their vacation rental rates the same? The amount of available vacation rentals on the market has also increased which may make it tough to increase rental rates because of supply and demand. Next season will be interesting.

Fortunately, the Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach areas have everything you may need including pharmacies so relax while packing and preparing for your beach vacation. Whether you forget the suntan lotion or beach towels you can easily pick it up at the Walmart or Target and still avoid the on the beach prices. Vacationing is fun, don't wait until the last minute to pack and remember most US beach vacation spots have the same conveniences as your home town. So relax.
